Disaster Preparedness for your Business

Falling Dominos

Converged Technologies

Fortunately today’s technologies allow organizations to plan and implement solutions that are safe, solid, and affordable to ensure continuity of business in the case of a disaster of any size. These solutions also have linked benefits such as meeting compliance rules and improving day-to-day operations.

Access Control

In today’s environment of Global Terrorism, struggling economy, and safety threats to all of us, how do you help your business meet the challenges of increasing security and staying on budget?  We take action to protect our network, warn our employees of potential scams, and try to prevent the outsider from affecting our bottom line.  But what are we doing to protect ourselves from physical intrusion?

Managed Services

Most businesses already keep critical business data off-site to reduce risk when disaster strikes.  These measures may range from simply storing backup tapes at an off-site location, to a managed service relationship with a third party off-site backup provider.  The off-site component of your disaster preparedness planning becomes more important daily as Information Technology grows increasingly critical to almost every business process.  It is important to evaluate your off-site strategy in light of risk, current capabilities, and need.

Virtualization with Information Technology

Virtualization is the current industry buzz, and is worthy of serious discussion for nearly every business that has more than one server.
Simply put, virtualization allows you to run multiple operating systems on one piece of hardware.  For many businesses, either because of limited budget, space, or power constraints, this is an excellent way to maximize hardware resources.

Golden West is Making Changes

You may have noticed that the Golden West logo is different in the top left corner of the newsletter. This is a change that will properly align Golden West Technologies and Internet Solutions' image with that of their parent company, Golden West Telecommunications.

The logo is one of many subtle changes currently being made. One change that's not so subtle if you've ever visited the Golden West website is the redesign. The new website now looks like a part of the Golden West family. The signs on the buildings and service vehicles are some of the upcoming changes so look for those in the near future.
