Wall School District Superintendent Sally Crowser’s days are rarely predictable. Before the morning bell rings, she steps through the doors to support staff and students for each day.
Technology plays a significant role in education these days, and it’s one thing Dr. Sally gets help with to keep school running smoothly. The district has partnered with Golden West Technologies to protect their computers, interactive whiteboards, security systems, staff, students, and everything in between.
“We meet with Golden West Technologies in person and go through our five-year technology plan. It keeps us learning and prepared to take the next step in keeping our technology strong in schools,” Dr. Sally says. “I feel very confident and comfortable having them in our corner when it comes to technology here.”
Dr. Sally brings decades of experience to her current role, starting in Philip in the early 90s, and then spent 10 years teaching high school in Belle Fourche. She later earned her doctorate, moved to Wyoming, and served as a K–12 principal for four years.
In 2011, she and her husband returned to South Dakota to be closer to family where she worked as a guidance counselor, taught English online to students in east Asia, and worked as an academic consultant. In fall 2023, she joined the Wall School District as the middle and high school principal before becoming superintendent in spring 2024.
New year, new technology
As Wall School District’s technology needs have grown more complex, Dr. Sally says the district needed more than basic support. She explains Golden West Technologies helps set up and maintain classroom devices, security systems, and network infrastructure.
Golden West ensured every computer in the school was ready and working properly for the 2025-26 school year. When the bells started ringing, Director of Business Technology Solutions Eric Eisenbraun also spent an afternoon teaching students how to use technology safely and responsibly.
Leading the charge
“Wall is a strong school and community. We have high expectations for our students, and they have been working hard – and it shows,” Dr. Sally says. “With Golden West Technologies, teachers and staff can focus on the students instead of having to come up with what to do next on our technology plan.”
Dr. Sally explains Mrs. Rebecca Myers serves as the district’s technology coordinator and leads its technology efforts. When questions arise, Mrs. Myers can be on the phone with Golden West technicians in seconds to quickly resolve issues. This allows her to concentrate on students’ individual needs, instead of having to be an IT ticket troubleshooter.
Community at the core
On top of Golden West’s support, Dr. Sally says the Wall community supports the district. She works with staff, families, and other community members to ensure every connection made at school positively impacts students.
Over time the district has developed new methods to keep school engaging and improving infrastructure within the school, including a new website and app improving communication with families and the community. Dr. Sally credits a proactive approach, like that of the technology support from Golden West, for many of the district’s successful programs and updates.
