The fourth annual TECHLeadership Conference returns Oct. 15 at the Box Elder Event Center, bringing a full day of practical leadership and technology insights for free. Attendees can also take part in the new Executive Workshop on Oct. 14, offering interactive learning experiences ahead of the conference.
“We want to give people more opportunities to get professional advice and make the most of their conference experience,” says Eric Eisenbraun, director of business technology solutions at Golden West Technologies. “The Executive Workshop allows people to connect personally with industry experts and gain deeper professional insight.”
Personalized professional development
The Executive Workshop was created for leaders who want additional time with presenters and a more focused professional development opportunity. Participants choose to attend two of four one-on-one conversations with presenters, including keynote speakers Jackie Payne and John Meyer.
As the director of leadership and talent development at Sagency, Jackie will share practical leadership techniques attendees can implement immediately to improve team outcomes. John, CEO of Leadmore, will discuss ways attendees can grow professionally and consistently work toward their goals.
IT Services Engineer Jennifer Gill of Golden West Technologies will explain how identity-first cybersecurity defenses can help organizations counter cyber threats. Chief Information Officer Tony Pannone of Highmark Federal Credit Union will discuss how to prepare for important conversations that strengthen trust, increase accountability, and build relationships.
Ideas you can put to work
The TECHLeadership Conference, taking place the following day, focuses on collaboration, leadership, and the shared responsibility of safeguarding people, systems, and organizations. Throughout the day, attendees can choose from keynote presentations and breakout sessions tailored to their interests and professional goals.
Four rounds of breakout sessions will give attendees opportunities to choose topics that match their interests and professional goals, while networking breaks, lunch, a panel discussion, a reverse Q&A, a trivia competition, and a social hour with door prizes provide additional ways to connect.
Speakers from Rapid City and across the Midwest will share their expertise. Topics include the evolving role of AI in the workplace, technology strategy, organizational communication, and emerging cybersecurity approaches.
Additional ways to engage
The panel discussion features past TECHLeadership Conference attendees who will share how they put what they learned into action. The trivia challenge will test participants’ cybersecurity knowledge, with prizes awarded to the top scorers.
